Sports chiropractic for UCF & East Orlando
Next Move Chiropractic is a sports and rehab chiropractor on E Colonial Dr in Orlando, about 12 miles and 25 minutes from the UCF campus. Students, staff, and East Orlando athletes get a 60 minute one-on-one exam with Dr. James Nguyen, who studied at UCF before Palmer: assessment first, then treatment and rehab in the same visit.
UCF and East Orlando train hard: the weight floor and climbing tower at the Recreation and Wellness Center, year-round intramural leagues and sport clubs, and the 7.4-mile paved Little Econ Greenway through Blanchard Park. When something starts to hurt, the usual options are a quick crack between classes or sitting out a season. Next Move Chiropractic is twelve miles west, down 417. The exam hour goes to why the shoulder, knee, or back keeps flaring between sessions, and the plan is built to run out, not to book you every week through finals.

Questions
UCF & East Orlando questions, answered
How far is Next Move Chiropractic from UCF?
About 12 miles. From campus, take University Blvd west to SR 417 south, exit at E Colonial Dr and head west; the clinic is on Colonial just east of N Mills Ave. Plan on about 25 minutes, more at rush hour, and 417 is a toll road. To skip the toll, take Alafaya Trail south to Colonial and go straight west; that route runs closer to 35 minutes.
Is there parking?
Yes. Parking is at the door, so the drive is the whole trip. Pull in, come inside, and you are on the table for a full hour. If you cannot find the suite, call the number on the contact page and Dr. Nguyen will talk you in.
Do I need a referral to book?
No. You can book the new patient exam online without a referral from a physician or anyone else. If you are already working with a doctor, an athletic trainer, or a physical therapist, bring what you have (imaging reports, notes, a home program) and it gets folded into the exam rather than starting from zero.
What should I wear?
Athletic clothes you can move in. The first hour looks at how you lift, run, climb, and cut, not just where it hurts, so come dressed the way you would for the RWC or an intramural game. For knee, hip, or ankle issues, shorts make the assessment and treatment easier.
Can I talk to Dr. Nguyen before I make the drive from East Orlando?
Yes. Start with the free 15-minute telehealth consult, a call with Dr. Nguyen to walk through your injury, your training, and what you have already tried. You get a straight answer on whether this is the right fit before you get on 417, and if it is not, he will say so and point you somewhere better.
Do you treat runners, lifters, and intramural athletes from UCF and East Orlando?
That is who the practice is built for. Dr. Nguyen studied Biomedical Sciences at UCF before Palmer, so he knows the campus and the training that happens there. Whether the pain started on the weight floor, the climbing tower, a Greenway run, or an intramural field, every case starts with the same 60-minute assessment, then adjustment and rehab in the same visit, with the goal of keeping you training, not benching you.
